Our Elevated Work Platform course is designed to give participants a wide range of knowledge and skills that will enable them to work autonomously as professional EWP operators in the civil construction, building, mining and transport fields.

The training provides a foundation of knowledge, EWP operation, storage and safety.

The process to apply for a high risk work licence has changed. The link below will take you to the SafeWork website which explains what a high risk work licence is, the eligibility requirements, how to enrol for a high risk work licence assessment and how to apply.

NOTE: All students MUST be 18 years of age or older to attend SafeWork High Risk Courses.

FOS Entry Requirements:
  • USI -Students are to provide their Unique Student Identifier.
  • Fitness to participate (fitness levels will vary depending on the course)
  • Enclosed footwear and suitable clothing

 

LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digitial) Requirements

A basic level of reading, writing and the ability to articulate in English and be able to speak English well enough to carry out High Risk Work safely with other people are required in order to complete the course work.

Students who have difficulty with the above, or who do not have an Education above Year 10, hold a Certificate I or above or who have not successfully completed this course previously will need to complete an online LLND assessment prior to training. This will be sent to the email provided at the time of booking. Students must have the online LLND assessment completed no later than the day prior to training. If a student fails the LLND assessment they will be referred to external student support services for further assistance. Enrolment will not commence until the required LLND skills are achieved.

There are no formal prerequisites to participate in this course.

  • Duration: 3 days (2 days training & 1 day assessment)
  • Times: 7.30am to 3.00pm
  • Cost: $760.00 (No GST) per person
  • Course Venue: Focus On Safety – Maison Dieu
  • Delivery Mode: Face to face in a classroom setting
  • Microwaves & fridge are available for student use. Morning tea & Lunch are not provided.

AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $75 WILL BE CHARGED AT AUSTRALIA POST TO COVER YOUR WORKCOVER LICENCE & CARD once your assessment is completed.

Cancellation policy: 

Focus on Safety Pty Ltd realise that cancellation or deferment of a course is sometimes unavoidable and therefore have established the following guidelines:

– Focus on Safety Pty Ltd course registration/booking form binds the client to full payment on completion of the Training or Assessment
– If a Student turns up more than 10 minutes late for a class, the student will be declined entry into the course, they will be treated as a non-attendance and the full fee will be charged. The student will need to be re-booked for training.
– Full fee will be charged for cancellation or movement changes made to Forklift or EWP courses if received less than 5 working days before the commencement of the course.
