2 Day Confined Spaces Refresher

Our Confined Space refresher course is designed to refresh and renew the skills of participants who have completed a confined space course (Conditions Apply). In order to be eligible for refresher training, students must forward through their previous qualifications for verification before booking will be completed.

Refreshing of skills allows participants to reflect their current work practices to ensure they are keeping themselves safe in the workplace.

Participants who attended a basic or 2 day course with Focus on Safety Pty Ltd originally will receive the following competencies:

  • RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces (release 2 – current)
  • MSMPER200 – Work in accordance with an issued permit (release 1 – current)
  • MSMPER300 – Issue work permits (release 2 – current)
  • RIIRIS201E – Conduct local risk control (release 1 – current)
  • MSMWHS217 – Gas test atmospheres (release 1 – current)
  • MSMPER202 – Observe permit work (release 1 – current)
  • MSMWHS201 – Conduct hazard analysis (release 1 – current)

If participants have received their previous units of competency through a different RTO provider, the units must match the units provided by FOS to receive them again. If you are unsure please contact our admin team on (02) 6571 3333 to discuss further.

Course Details
  • Duration: 1 day
  • Time: 7.30am to 3.00pm
  • Cost: $295.00 per person
  • Course Venue: Focus On Safety Office or on Client’s premises
  • Delivery Mode: Face to face in a classroom setting
  • Certification: Successful participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment
  • Microwaves & fridge are available for student use. Morning tea & Lunch are not provided

FOS Entry Requirements:
  • USI -Students are to provide their Unique Student Identifier.
  • Fitness to participate (fitness levels will vary depending on the course)
  • Enclosed footwear and suitable clothing
  • LLN (language literacy and numeracy) – A basic level of reading, writing and the ability to articulate in English are required in order to complete the course work. For students with LLN issues they will be required to complete a LLN assessment and will be required to arrive 30mins prior to class to complete this. Students with a language barrier are required to provide a scribe for their training. If a student fails the LLN assessment they will be referred to external student support services for further assistance. Enrolment will not commence until the required LLN skills are achieved.
Course Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites to participate in this course.

This is a refresher of the 2 day Confined space full course. Students must have completed their previous qualification for this training within the last 3 years to be eligible to attend refresher training.

Cancellation of Training

Focus On Safety Pty Ltd realise that cancellation or deferment of a course is sometimes unavoidable and therefore have established the following guidelines:

  • Focus On Safety Pty Ltd registration/booking form binds the client to full payment on completion of the Training or Assessment
  • No penalty applies if student is moved to another course date in the first instance. However if student is moved multiple times full course fees will apply
  • Full fee if cancellation or movement request is received less than 2 business days before the commencement of the course.
